| Please note that following new customs regulation will take effect in Argentina for cargo arriving on or after May 3rd 2010. (Rule 2744 of the Federal Administration of Public Income)The Argentinean customs authorities are now requesting the following information: - Customer Supplied Harmonized Code to be at least 6 digits.In case of more than 1 Harmonized Code, the Harmonized Code to be manifested is that of the greatest value. - Consignee's Taxpayer Identification Number “C.U.I.T. number’’ (unless B/L Type is “To Order”).For Household Goods, Personal Effects or other non-commercial shipments consigned to an individual, one of the following forms of identification must be shown: - Clave Única de Identificación Tributaria (C.U.I.T.) = Company Tax ID- Clave Única de Identificación Laboral (C.U.I.L.) = Labour Tax ID- Clave de Identificación (C.D.I.) = Individual ID If the individual is not a resident, Argentine Customs will complete the manifest with the personal information of the person (passport number, country of issue, etc.). It is the responsibility of shipper or booking party to include these details on the Bill of Lading instruction in order to comply with Argentinean customs authorities. Any missing or incorrect information may result into customs fines as well as possible delays in cargo clearance and taking delivery of the goods. Further consequential demurrage/storage charges will be for account of the shipper or booking party in case consignee refuses to pay. | We have established an increasing number of containers to be delivered at the MSC Home Terminal with incorrect sealing. MSC whishes to advise you that it is the Shippers obligation to properly seal the container, on the therefore allocated location, in compliance with ruling regulations. As of april 15th all containers which fail to comply with the attached instruction will be sealed by the Terminal Operator for account of the cargo. MSC will be obliged to charge you for the respective costs amounting to Euro 75,-- per container plus an administration fee of Euro 25,--. More info |
| SEALING PROCEDURE REEFER/AIR FRESH VENTS | 15/04/2010 |
| We have established an increasing number of containers to be delivered at the MSC Home Terminal with incorrect sealing. MSC whishes to advise you that it is the Shippers obligation to properly seal the container, on the therefore allocated location, in compliance with ruling regulations. As of april 15th all containers which fail to comply with the attached instruction will be sealed by the Terminal Operator for account of the cargo. In addition to the door-seals special attention is required for sealing of the “air fresh vents” of reefer-containers. All MSC reefer-containers are properly air fresh vent sealed upon empty release from the respective depots. When reefer-containers are returned full at the MSC Home Terminal with incorrect, or no air fresh vent seals at all , the Terminal Operator will seal the air fresh vents for account of the cargo. MSC will be obliged to charge you for the respective costs amounting to Euro 50,-- per air fresh vent. More info |
