Special requirements

Australian Quarantine Inspection Service recommend that any import container with plant or animal material, either as cargo, packing or dunnage, be fumigated at port of loading to avoid delays at port of discharge in Australia. If cargo has been fumigated prior to shipment then a fumigation certificate must be presented to AQIS before they will release the cargo. If the fumigation certificate is not presented then cargo may be subject to be fumigated again in Australia at Consignee's expense.
