Special equipment

Acceptance of all types of special equipment - availability and rates on request.
Discharge of flat rack containers is prohibited in the port of Algiers whereas open top containers with 'Out of Gauge' cargo are subject to approval of the Port Authorities

Special requirements

The following commodities are prohibited:

Algeria

• Gold and military related cargo (subject approval authorities only)
• Any commodity related to pornography, drugs, wine, used cars and used clothing

Libya

• Alcoholic beverages and cargo from not accepted origin
• Cars exceeding 5 years of age unless under diplomatic status

Hazardous cargo

Hazardous cargo will be accepted subject to approval of MSC IMO desk with exception of port of Algiers.

Other relevant information

Intermodal services available to most inland destinations. Please note that to various destinations weight restrictions might be applicable.
No intermodal services are offered for destinations in Algeria.
