Other relevant information

Intermodal services available to most inland destinations. Please note that to various destinations weight restrictions might be applicable.

As vessels call at USA ports prior to South American ports the FROB (Foreign Cargo Remaining on Board) rule of the US Customs AMS Filing Regulation is applicable and therefore pre-departure filing of all manifest related information is required.
All of the data elements required under the regulation must be provided for FROB cargo.
The information must be available in sufficient time to allow MSC to perform the pre-filing, in failure of which cargo is not allowed to pass USA ports, consequently can not reach South American ports.
